Manitoba COVID-19 Dashboard Update - MacKenzie Middle School

On June 11, 2021, MVSD was notified of a new case of COVID-19 associated with MacKenzie Middle School; however, the individual was NOT present in the school during their period of communicability (POC) and there are no school-related close contacts. Therefore, no public health investigation in the school is required. The case will appear on the Manitoba COVID-19 Dashboard in the coming days. Click on the link for more details.

STEAM Summer Camp Opportunity

The National STEAM Summer Camp, held virtually from July 19-23, 2021, is designed to introduce students entering grades 7-12 to the many opportunities in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) field through fun and interactive activities. This week-long event helps children recognize the importance of their education while exposing them to a wide variety of careers. Click on the above link for more info!

City of Dauphin Schools - Remote Learning Extended

Due to the number of recent positive COVID-19 cases in the City of Dauphin, Manitoba Public Health has advised that all Dauphin schools remain in full remote learning until Friday, June 18 with a potential return to in-person learning on Monday, June 21. Remembering and Honouring the Lives of 215 Children

Flags within Mountain View School Division will be flown at half-mast from Monday, May 31, 2021 to the morning of Wednesday, June 9, 2021, to recognize, honour and remember the 215 children found buried at a former residential school in Kamloops, BC. All students and staff across MVSD are encouraged to wear orange on Monday, May 31 in honour and remembrance of the 215 children.

MMS - Remote Learning Update

Due to the recent increase in positive COVID-19 cases in the Dauphin and surrounding area, Manitoba Public Health has advised that Mountain View School Division transition all schools in the City of Dauphin to full remote learning for a two-week period. The remote learning period for MacKenzie Middle School will now be from May 25th until June 9th, inclusive, unless a decision is made to extend the period of remote learning (after consultation with Public Health). Confirmed COVID-19 Case - MacKenzie Middle School

On June 2, 2021, Manitoba Public Health officials advised MacKenzie Middle School of at least one confirmed case of COVID-19 in the school on May 25th, 26th, 28th and 29th.
