French Immersion

The French Immersion program continues to enhance our students’ growth in language learning in both official languages. We offer authentic French experiences in an engaging and supportive environment based on our core MMS MAGIC values of mastery, accountability, generosity, independence and connection - through the lens of French immersion.

Some of this year’s highlights include:

• A presentation by Santé en Français on future careers in the health field available to our students with French language.
• Workshops and presentations by TiBert about French, Métis, and First Nations history and culture in Manitoba.
• We had a very successful year with our French Public Speaking Competition supported by Canadian Parents for French. We have several competitors on their way to the provincial competition later this year.
• Our students also had the exciting opportunity to participate in workshops for French improvisation in collaboration with French artist and theatre coach, Alison Palmer.
