Parent Evening on Child Protection and Awareness - Social Media

Constable Gord Olson from the RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit will be delivering a presentation to the students and staff of Mackenzie Middle School on Thursday, December 6.   The presentation explores the definition of the media coined phenomenon “SEXTING” and takes the audience through a scenario. The scenario will expose what sexting is, the impacts and offer options to prevent the risks associated to sexting behaviours, as well as how to reduce the harm of actions already undertaken. 

We encourage all parents and community members to attend the evening session from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, December 6th.  Great opportunity to learn all about it!
